Pekkle Fondant Topper

So... This blog will also continue to be a place for me to share the desserts that I make outside of school. I also have a FaceBook page for my mini (VERY MINI) in home "business" that I post a lot of my photos on but I can write a little more detail about my desserts here! I get orders on occasion that's why I call it my mini in home "business".

First of all, here is the link to my FaceBook Page:

I was super bored with the Super Bowl today so I decided to start on a project that I promised my dear friend Jayson back in December! He ordered some cupcakes from me for Valentines day so I decided to "kill two birds with one stone" and make his cupcakes too!

Jayson wanted cupcakes decorated with Pekkle from Sanrio. Here is the picture I used:
(I found it on www.ulike.net)

Here are the fondant cupcake toppers. They aren't done yet but this is the most important element:)

I'm really happy with the outcome. I jazzed up the photo using my Instagram App on my iPhone. In the past I have had trouble cutting fondant but I acquired this new technique to help the process.

What you do is trace the outline of the shape you need to cut onto parchment paper, then lay the parchment on top of your rolled out fondant then cut the fondant and parchment paper at the same time with an exacto knife. So much fun! I'm so happy I learned about this!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everybody! :)

With Love,
Adriana
